In 1971, after getting out of the Army, where he served as a Helicopter mechanic in Vietnam . Bob Weaver started surveying for various firms in the New Haven, Meriden and Middletown areas. In 1992, he decided that he would like to be independent and started his own business doing plot plans, boundary and topographical surveys and lot stakeouts for clients and other design professionals. He moved to East Haddam n 1997. In Early 2017, Bob decided to slow down a little and decided to sell his business to another surveyor. While not fully retired, Bob is now doing town hall research, client contact, and limited field research.
John Paul Garcia.
John Paul started doing building stakeout with his father in 1964. After graduating from college in 1976, he worked for various surveyors, building contractors and a structural engineering firm, before re-entering the civil engineering and surveying profession in 1984. He established his own engineering and surveying firm in Bethany Ct. in 1989 and since then, has worked in the business all over the state. His firm specializes in construction stakeout of large municipal and private structures, including but not limited to Yale University New Dorm Facility, St. Francis Hospital addition, Uconn utility upgrades, and the new sewage treatment plant for MDC. In addition, the firm offers surveying and civil engineering services to public and private clients, from homeowners to large municipal clients, doing topographical surveys, boundary surveys and lot line stakeouts, subdivisions, and water resource management.
